Torn between trap life, chasing his dreams and the woman he loves, South Londoner Joey Base shows the frustrations of a looking to break out of his situation with his latest single ‘Streets Or A Lady’. Produced by Amafist, the Afroswing-laced track, comes with this brand new music video which features Babestation’s Priya Young and depicts the different sides to the life that Joey and countless others struggle to deal with on a daily basis. In this case it’s the streets, for others it may be a 9-5 or other distractions that inflict strains on a relationship. Describing the force behind the track, he explains:
“I wanted to show versatility on this track so I choose a more personal approach to the lyrics. Things like chasing my dreams, leaving the streets, sacrificing relationships because they didn’t see the bigger picture – It’s also the first time I’ve sang on a track which took me out of my comfort zone!”
