The Oscars aired last night(February 22nd), and the one particular category we paid attention to was for the Best Original Song trophy, where Common and John Legend were nominated for their Selma song “Glory.” After taking home the Golden Globe last month, John and Lonnie – fresh from performing the song at the show – would win the Academy Award for their song, marking the first time they have won such an award. Congrats to John, Common, and everybody involved!
