Kanye West will perform “Black Skinhead” at the MTV VMAs this year, and will tie Madonna for most VMA performances of all time.
Kanye West has had a memorable history at the VMAs. Apart from contributing 6 memorable perfomances over the last ten years, he’s also had a backstage meltdown, and experienced one of the most infamous moments of his career– the Taylor Swift incident.
Whether or not Kanye will make a lasting impression with his “Black Skinhead” performance this year, he will still be making VMA history once again, as his seventh musical appearance at the award show will tie him with Madonna for the most VMA performances of all time.
MTV made the announcement with a photo featuring a copy of Yeezus, the MTV Moonman award, and some “damn croissants”. View the pic in the gallery above.
The show airs at 9 p.m. on August 24 at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center.
