Following the release of his debut single “It Girl” earlier this year, emerging artist DeLorean Black is back with his latest offering “SALT XXXADDY”.
Shipping the audience into a mixed mix of R&B, hip-bounce and flickering synth designs, the Los Angeles based craftsman draws motivation from this rich cluster of classes to make his shimmering soundscapes. Featuring his assorted and special aesthetics, DeLorean’s delicate and sweet vocals move across energetic songs and rhythms – an inebriating deep-dive into his reality.
Pronounced ‘Salt Zaddy’, DeLorean explains the track as: “Begin[ning] with a simulation hopper travelling to an alternate universe that feels like the 1980s. In the simulation, the traveller plays a sugar daddy who has gone salty because his girl has become like milk left out in the summer sun…spoiled”.
