New Orleans based rap duo Playgroundz is comprised of childhood best friends Dontae (21) and Mello (20). They just released their debut single “Juice” (which they also produced) following their live debut supporting G-Eazy this Halloween weekend in New Orleans.
They’ve produced for Pell (Vacation, Pretty Things) and have several unreleased tracks with Lil Wayne completed. Dontae also spent the past few years touring the world as a skateboarder with Lil Wayne after Wayne saw Dontae skateboarding at Thanksgiving while he was still a young teen (Dontae and Wayne are cousins).
