Rihanna is the cover girl of PAPER Magazine’s #BreakTheRules issue for March. Ten years after their first issue together, RiRi and PAPER deliver a Suicide Squad-themed cover shoot done at Alphabet City Deli & Grill in New York City’s East Village. In the photo spread which “took inspiration from her budding acting career and chameleon-like powers of transformation,” Rihanna goes with a futuristic glamorous look, highlighted by her thick green spiked hair.
“We thought it would be interesting to put a superstar like Rih in such an everyday surrounding,” says Shannon Stokes, who styled Rihanna for the shoot along with Farren Fucci. “And Farren added the ‘future’ angle to give it a twist, so it became a challenge to envision what a girl who worked there might look like.” The pop superstar is seen wearing Dior, Faith Connexion, Acne Studios, Christian Louboutin, Off-White, Marc Jacobs and more.
