SamRecks Shares Intriguing New Track “BACK PACK” — Watch

South London rapper SamRecks shares a new song and video, “BACK PACK.”

“Back Pack” again deftly displays Rekki’s distinctive style, outlining a narrative of nostalgia and early personal experiences that dips into fashion and love interests alike, and continuing the blend of sonic innovation and languid, original bars that made the south London native of Nigerian descent one of the most eye-catching new names of 2022. The follow-up to last year’s viral songs “Love and Attention” and “Would You Let Me,” “Back Pack” further establishes SamRecks as a major new artist with his uncommon, understated skill.

SamRecks has a powerful, distinctively London sound that belies his young age (22). His growing passion for skateboarding and aggressive DIY mindset bring to mind artists like Tyler, The Creator and A$AP Rocky, as does his involvement in all element of his music, from production to artwork to color-grading the “Back Pack” video himself. SamRecks, one of the UK’s most intriguing indigenous talents, has a keen ear for music and an eye for design, and he is about to release his first body of work.
