Taylor Swift won the award for Album of the Year at the 2016 Grammy Awards. During her acceptance speech, the pop star delivered a few words, aimed at Kanye West. Their past issues appear to now have reignigted following recent comments Kanye has made on social media and in his music.

“As the first woman to win album of the year twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or you fame,” said Swift after accepting the award from Earth, Wind & Fire.
“But if you just focus on the work, and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world,” she closed the speech.
The comments appear to be a direct response to Kanye West, who rapped the line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous” on a song off his new album The Life of Pablo.
Kanye would later reveal on Twitter that a mutual friend told West that Taylor privately said the rapper made her famous. Later, he claimed that Swift approved the lyric, something that has been denied in a official statement from a spokesperson in Swift’s camp.
