After releasing the dope single“Her Aura Loud”, Visionnaire return with Gaslight.
‘Visionnaire’ is a concept created by an anonymous 23 year old singer, songwriter and producer. The concept grew out of his existential depression and seemingly insurmountable anxiety; the former challenging self-worth, and the latter stripping optimism and inhibiting creativity.
The end of last year/the beginning of this year was the lowest point in the artist’s life from a psychological and emotional standpoint. But with the support of some invaluable URL and IRL friends, their affinity for making music was repurposed into a means of self-healing and rebirth – visionnaire; art produced for the marginalised with messages and stories meant to uplift, acknowledge, console and/or empower.
‘Gaslight’ is the follow-up to Visionnaire’s explosive, futuristic homage to black women, ‘her aura loud’. The new single is a dark, infectious club record for the summer/ fall. It explores the interminable 9-5 hustle we all engage in; “an anthem for those who strive to persevere and continue to seek their definition of bliss.”
visionnaire will be releasing more music this summer. The only objective at this point is to continue to make meaningful, sharable work that resonates with people.
