WhyDee Shares New Single “Bonjour”
WhyDee is turning his online momentum into music with his new single “Bonjour.”
The 20-year-old North West London rapper, producer and content creator has already seen the track take off before release, with its sound reportedly inspiring close to 1,000 TikTok creations. A collaboration with Nigerian creator Peller pushed things even further, generating around five million views.
But “Bonjour” isn’t simply built for a viral moment.
Co-produced by WhyDee and Waytoolost and mastered by Tweeko, the upbeat UK rap cut reflects on WhyDee’s journey from having very little and making mistakes to finding purpose through his creativity.
The line “I was the same as them” gives the record its perspective. Rather than distancing himself from his past, WhyDee acknowledges it while looking at how far he’s come.
With his Hawk Tribe community watching much of that journey unfold through Twitch, TikTok and Instagram, “Bonjour” feels like another step in WhyDee’s transition from popular creator to an artist building something of his own.
“Bonjour” is out now.
