During his rise to stardom over the last three years, one of Lil Yachty’s biggest critics has been Funkmaster Flex. The Atlanta rapper and New York radio DJ have gone back and forth on social media a few times, mainly due to Flex blaming Lil Boat and “mumble rappers” for ruining hip-hop. To promote his newly released Lil Boat 2 project, Yachty stopped by Funk Flex’s mixshow on HOT 97 to kick a freestyle. After Flex gave a back story on how this meeting happened, Lil Yachty dropped some rhymes over Mike Jones’ mid-2000s classic “Still Tippin.”
