Monica’s latest single “Letters” features a music video in which she is booed up by The Game.
In this Richard Selvi-directed music video, the R&B singer composes a love letter to her boyfriend while relaxing in a bubble bath with her co-star from Compton.
She’s singing, “They see you and see a thug, yeah, yeah / I see you and see my love, yeah, yeah.” while they canoodle in the tub. To paraphrase, “You roll up they running scared, yeah, yeah / But me I’m running to you with my fears, yeah, yeah.”
Monica’s new single “Letters” is her first release of 2019. Her 2017 single “Friends” featured a guest appearance from Ty Dolla $ign.
