Wale, who was clearly enchanted by SZA’s Ctrl album last year like the rest of us, opens his account in 2018 by dropping a remix of the TDE songstress’ hit single “The Weekend.” Flipping the script on SZA’s side chick narrative, Wale offers his perspective as a polyamorous playa searching for something real. “Ever had the right love at the wrong time? / Netflix, sex quick, then it’s awkward / I know a lot of hoes so I know a lot of lies / So one chillin’ and the other sittin’ courtside with me,” he raps.
